He was said to have been dating two women from the same community, Happiness and Maria.
Neighbours have said that the two women always fight whenever they meet each other at Emmanuel’s residence.
On the day of the unfortunate event, Happiness was said to have met Maria at Emmanuel’s house and accused him of cheating on her.
A fight soon ensued between the two women; while they were at it Emmanuel tried to escape the scene.
However, before he could achieve his aim, Happiness broke a bottle and rushed after him stabbing the only eye he had left. Emmanuel had already lost his right some years back.
When newsmen visited him at the hospital he denied having a relationship with both women. He asserted that they were vegetable sellers who came regularly to sell to him. When asked why they fought, he said it was over whose vegetable he was to buy.
He said Happiness stabbed him because he threatened to go and call her parents.
Meanwhile a source said that the two girls, who have five children between them, have been arrested by the police.
