UPDATE: Boko Haram Hijacks School Bus In Abuja

There is heavy tension in the now troubled Nyanya axis of Abuja as parents are rushing to schools in the area to recover their children as the news of a fresh attack by suspected Boko Haram members is spreading.

According to report reaching amibo, gunmen on Tuesday morning hijacked a school bus belonging to a private school and also visited another near by school. Sadly, the gunmen made away with the school bus before security men could get to the scene after the school authorities called for help.

The good news, however, is that the young school children had already disembarked from their school bus and had entered their school compound before the suspected Boko Haram agents struck.

A top staff of the school, Divine Kiddies Academy, who spoke to Political Platform on the phone, confirmed the latest development and also assured the public that the school children are safe and none of them were in any way harmed by the gunmen.

Security agencies in Abuja have deployed more men to the area.
